Anthemis Group is the latest VC to join FinTech Investor Forum

With global investments into fintech continuing to grow year on year more investors are launching funds dedicated to the sector.

Reaching a first close of its $285m fintech-focused venture fund in August, Anthemis Group holds a portfolio of more than 30 fintech companies spanning across retail banking and consumer finance, payments, wealth management, insurtech, big data, corporate banking and trading.

Sharing his insights on the Venture Capital Perspective panel Anthemis’ founder and CEO Nadeem Shaikh is the latest leading investor to join the FinTech Investor Forum.

Prior to founding Anthemis, Nadeem was President at First Data Corporation where he held a number of senior roles and ran a multibillion dollar organization overseeing businesses in more than 50 markets.

Nadeem also previously led the strategy and technology arm at American Management Systems.

He serves on the boards of Bento, Currency Cloud, Jumo and Moven.

Nadeem has lived and worked all over the world and now resides outside London, England with his young family.

He is the Board Chairman of the Trustees of CARE UK, Pakistan’s largest educational NGO.
