Spanish crowdfunding platform Arborius lands €1.3m

Spanish crowdfunding platform Arborius has closed a €1.3m investment round.

The round featured Ona Capital and Business Corporation Emesa, along with other partners who have also have increased their stake in the company.

Arborius was founded by Josep Carles Nebot and Escolano in early 2012 to help solve ‘the chronic problem of financing small and medium enterprises in Spain’.

Through its transparent information system, the company says it allows people to choose which companies let you money, how much and under what conditions.

As a result, these companies can access an alternative funding channel, faster and with the possibility of obtaining better conditions than those who get in their usual financial institutions according to firm.

Spanish venture capital firm Ona Capital backs small and medium enterprises.

According to its website, its previous FinTech investments includes private payment network Dinube, which claims to enable banks and merchants to work together.
