Finstar expands senior FinTech team with Timko hire

Finstar Financial Group has further expanded its fintech and financial services investment program with the hire of Eugene Timko.

The global private equity firm has announced the recruitment of Eugene Timko as investment director.

In his new role, Timko will be responsible for evaluating venture capital investment opportunities in the fintech and services industry.

He has been focused on the fintech industry since 2012 and was previously an investment director at InVenture Partners.

Prior to joining Inventure Partners, he served as the IBD Associate of Morgan Stanley and participated in various M&A and ECM transactions in technology, media and telecom industry.

The firm has also bought in Michele Tucci as head of mobile products and business development, and Alexander Ivanov to develop venture capital investments.

Tucci has previously served as director of international business development at Mint Payments, and vice president and senior managing consultant of the professional services arm of MasterCard Worldwide.

Prior to Finstar, Ivanov co-founded Life.SREDA, a venture capital firm focusing on investments in fintech mobile and Internet projects in the US.
