Coinfirm grabs $700,000 to bring compliance to the blockchain

Blockchain compliance startup Coinfirm has raised an initial $700,000 in a seed funding round.

Luma Ventures made the investment in the London-based startup. Coinfim will now open the round up to other backers.

The regtech company’s platform aims to brings greater security and transparency to blockchain-based transactions.

This includes anti-money laundering (AML) combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) risk and compliance in industries as cryptocurrency, banking and business intelligence.

As well as compliance and risk management services the platform offers business intelligence and reporting to aid decision making for companies operating directly in with bitcoin or outside of it.

Coinfirm says it will use the capital to expand its reach and develop further services and features on the platform.
