IQ Capital joins WealthTech investor panel

Despite some post-Brexit uncertainty London’s wealth of talent, access to capital and track record of innovation means it is well established as Europe’s de facto fintech capital.

However, it’s by no means the only tech hub in the UK developing fintech startups and just a short train ride from the capital Cambridge has a growing reputation for innovation.

Home to a R&D centres of some of Silicon Valley’s heavyweight tech firms, as well as one of the world’s leading universities, the city is home to growing fintech investment opportunities.

Based across Cambridge and London, IQ Capital Partners has seen exist to companies such as Google and Apple and is the latest venture capital firm to join the FinTech Investor Forum.

Taking place in London on November 24th, IQ Capital partner Kerry Baldwin will join the WealthTech and Digital Bank Investor Perspective alongside senior-level investors from Novus Ordo Capital, Eden Ventures and Octopus Labs.

KERRY BALDWIN

Kerry has worked in venture capital since 1997, starting as an investment manager with Venture Technologies, a £35m high-technology fund, with important successes including Autonomy Corporation, Whereonearth, Trustbase and Durlacher.

Between 2002-2006 Kerry worked taking companies from concept to AIM with a group of property HNW and an €150m Italian Venture Capital Fund.

She has led numerous investments including Sirigen (Acq. Beckton Dickinson) and currently sits on the boards of Digital Assess and oversees investments with Unbound, Divido and Apperio.

Kerry manages the dealflow process at IQ Capital and focusses on product, channels, competitive analysis and team dynamics during due diligence.

Kerry began her career with BDO Stoy Hayward following Royal College of Music and enjoys participating in off shore racing.

Kerry sits on the BVCA Venture Capital Committee.
