Verena Kempe

Verena Kempe is a Director for Private Equity at FERI Trust in Germany. She is responsible for investment strategies in infrastructure & energy as well as certain private debt strategies (e.g. distressed debt, mezzanine and preferred equity). Since her start at FERI in 2013, she has successfully invested and advised for institutional investors based on tailor-madeinvestment strategies. Her focus is especially on value add and opportunistic strategies. She is a member of several fund advisory boards.

Before joining FERI Trust, she was a Director at Structured Finance – Global Energy in London at WestLB. She was responsible for the origination and structuring of acquisition and project financings for conventional an renewable energy projects in EMEA. She started at WestLB in Düsseldorf in various positions –among others as a senior portfolio manager in credit portfolio management. Verena studied at Leibniz University of Hanover in Germany, London Schoolof Economics and Political Sciences and the University of Hagen in Germany. She holds Masters in Economic Geography and Business Administration.
