Frederik van Pallandt

Mr. Frederik van Pallandt is Director of the Energy Department at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank. We support sustainable private sector growth in developing and emerging markets by investing in ambitious entrepreneurs. We believe a strong private sector leads to economic and social development, empowering people to employ their skills and improve their quality of life.

At FMO, Frederik oversees a team of 52 investment professionals responsible for the structuring and monitoring of debt transactions to projects and companies active in the energy sector in developing countries. Our main focus is on renewable energy projects. Frederik joined FMO in 2005. Prior to FMO, he held positions at the World Bank Group and several international commercial banks. Frederik holds master’s degrees in Economics and Philosophy.
