Roberto Ferreira

Roberto came to STANLIB in 2013, bringing 19 years’ experience in project finance, acquisition finance and private equity, almost all of which has been focused on Africa. He has a proven track record in raising debt and equity capital for investment projects throughout Africa, and considerable experience in senior general, financial and asset management positions.

Roberto joined STANLIB’s Direct Property team from Harith General Partners where he was the Managing Director of Aldwych Holdings, a subsidiary and independent power developer for Africa. He was previously a senior member of the project finance team at Absa Capital in Johannesburg, where his experience included a secondment to the Africa Department of the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC.

During his career, Roberto has served on the boards of several British and South African companies of varying sizes. He received his MBA in Banking and Finance from Manchester Business School in the UK, and an MPhil from the University of Johannesburg.
