Edward Bates

Edward Bates is the Managing Director of STAM Europe, a privately held investment management firm based in Paris, France.Prior to joining STAM, Edward was a Senior Principal and Co-Head of Real Estate at Doughty Hanson & Co. as well as a founding team member of Orion Capital Managers. He has an in-depth understanding of the European real estate markets, investing in residential, office, retail, industrial, logistics and hotels. He has been involved in developing and investing in more than 45 transactions totaling more than €3 billion.

Edward has 22 years of real estate investment experience in Europe and the USA and graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, USA where he majored in Mathematics and Economics. He has attended INSEAD Executive Education classes, is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and a United Kingdom Financial Conduct Authority approved person.
