Brookfield said to near €7bn Grifols offer, Astorg eyes €2.5bn Anaqua sale to Nordic Capital

Brookfield is reportedly prepping a roughly €7bn offer for Spanish drugmaker Grifols in the wake of the company suffering a share slump. Brookfield intends to offer €10.5 per share having completed due diligence on the business according to news website El Confidencial, which cited unnamed sources. Brookfield expressed interest in Grifols in September, with the company having lost 30% of its market value since January.


Astorg is reportedly nearing a $2.5bn sale of intellectual property software business Anaqua to Nordic Capital. Astorg has been working on a sale of the company since at least March. The firm bought Anaqua, which specialises in patent, trademark and contract management software, from Insight Venture Partners in 2019. Bloomberg first reported the potential sale to Nordic Capital, citing unnamed sources.


European spacetech business The Exploration Company has raised $160m in Series B funding co-led by Balderton Capital and Plural, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, NGP Capital, French Tech Souveraineté, DeepTech & Climate Fonds  and Bayern Kapital. The round also included significant follow-on investment from historical investors, including EQT Ventures, Red River West, Cherry Ventures, Promus Ventures and Omnes Real Tech Fund. TEC develops, manufactures, and operates spaceships to serve the logistical needs of space stations and space exploration.
