Another of London’s most-important VCs is joining the FinTech Investor Forum as a speaker.
Richard Wazacz, head of Octopus Investments’ newly established FinTech accelerator Octopus Labs, joins investors from other top firms such as Balderton Capital Northzone and BlackFin.
Held on November 24th in London this senior-level event will bring together influential deal makers and CEOs from innovative startups to discuss the trends defining FinTech investment.
The event will also offer attendees the chance to network with fund managers and founders looking for investments and partners.

RICHARD WAZACZ
Head of Octopus Labs
Richard heads up Octopus Labs, the FinTech innovation and product development arm of Octopus Investments.
The London-based firm manages more than £6bn in assets and recently saw high-profile exits from SwiftKey, which sold to Microsoft for $250m and Magic Pony, which Twitter bought for $150m in June.
Richard joined Octopus in business line manager for Venture Capital Trusts in March 2015.
He was previously corporate development director for UK and Europe at Prudential Assurance.
Prior Richard held a number of roles at Prudential, including that of COO for Continental Europe, a position which saw him establish Prudential’s greenfield life insurance business in Poland.
He was previously customer services & operations director for all UK Private Banking and Wealth Management businesses at Lloyds Banking Group.
Richard holds a MEng in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MBA for Columbia Business School.
