Shiva Rajaraman

Mr. Shiva Rajaraman, has 21 years of experience in infrastructure finance and infrastructure advisory in India. During the period, he has contributed to and led the evaluation, advisory, structuring and financing for infrastructure projects through debt, equity and mezzanine finance.

He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of L&T Infra Debt Fund Ltd (L&T IDF), one of India’s leading Infrastructure Debt Funds, focussed on providing refinancing and credit enhancement solutions to private sector/ PPP projects in transportation (roads, ports and airports), renewable energy and transmission sectors.

He also heads the Strategic Initiatives function of the Wholesale business of L&T Financial Services (LTFS) where he leads and takes overall responsibility for the conceptualisation, evaluation, planning and development of feasible/ profitable strategic initiatives, targeted at achieving accelerated balance sheet growth, increasing presence and enhancing risk-adjusted return.

At LTFS, he has overseen the development of one of India’s largest (USD ~ 2 bn) high quality debt-financed renewable energy portfolios, in solar, wind and mini hydro power sectors, aggregating ~ 4000 MW.

Prior to that he was employed with India’s specialised infrastructure financier IDFC (now IDFC Bank) and the Equity Group of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, which he joined on completion of his MBA.

Mr. Rajaraman is a member of the Infrastructure Committees of CII and FICCI (industry associations) and a Director on the Board of Feedback Infra Pvt Ltd and Indian Highway Management Company Ltd (IHMCL).
