Biography

Graham Rose is a partner in Bain & Company’s Boston office and a member of the firm’s Global Financial Investors Practice.  He joined Bain in 2001.

Mr. Rose has deep experience working with financial investors on strategic due diligence and portfolio improvement.  He has led nearly 300 cases focused on conducting diligence on assets across a range of industries and evaluating growth prospects, profit improvement opportunities and the resiliency of business models.

He is also one of the leaders of Bain’s work in fund strategy – helping direct investors define their own investment strategies and business models.  Over the last five years, he has worked with several leading infrastructure investors on strategy topics including international expansion and sweet spot definition.  In addition to working with direct investors, he has worked extensively with diversified asset managers and other pools of capital.  Mr. Rose has helped to author Bain’s point of view on fund and LP strategy.

Outside of his client work, he is actively involved in consultant training and recruiting.

Prior to joining Bain, Mr. Rose was a financial analyst in the investment banking division of Alex Brown in New York, working on equity and debt financing and M&A. Earlier in his career, he worked an associate at TD Capital, a private equity firm in Toronto, Ontario.

Mr. Rose earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he received a degree in government and legal studies.
