Emerging market private equity specialist Actis is to form an oil and gas sector joint venture with Singapore oilfield supply and services provider KS Energy. KS has announced plans to integrate its oil and gas and marine distribution services with those of Aqua-Terra Supply (ATS) and SSH Corporation to form an umbrella company to be known as KS Distribution.

Axiom Asia Private Capital Management Services has closed its second vehicle, Axiom Asia Private Capital Fund II, well over its $750m target.  The Singapore-headquartered fund of funds reached commitments of $950m, highlighting investors’ appetite for exposure to the Asian private equity market.

Yorkville invests $51m in Singapore life sciences company PDF Print E-mail

US investment fund manager Yorkville Advisors is to make a S$72m ($51.8m) investment into Singapore life sciences company Transcu, according to Reuters. The firm reportedly intends to invest via an equity line facility through its YA Global Master fund.

KKR-led consortium takes $160m stake in Chinese lending company PDF Print E-mail

New York private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has led a consortium which invested $160m in a Chinese lender. KKR invested alongside the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation and China International Capital Corporation to take a “significant” minority stake in International Far Eastern Leasing, a Chinese lender to small and medium-sized businesses controlled by state conglomerate Sinochem.
